
Proffessional Player Rule
3.0 Professional Player Criteria
3.1 Professional Player/s are defined as any player/s who has played International / First Class / List A / cricket at any Point in their career.
3.2 A professional player with no more than 3 first-class cricket games and not having played first-class cricket within the last 10 years will be classified as a local player.
3.3 An Overseas player who is in the UK on a Cricket related Visa such as Tier 5, Sports Visitor, or a Type C Visitor Visa, then they will also be classed in the Professional Category.
3.4 Players who do not hold a UK British Passport, but arrives in the UK 60 days before the start of the season will be classed as a pro, unless they are on a Student Visa, Working or Spouse visa.
3.5 Overseas Players are allowed to play in the League, but, if an Overseas Player falls into the professional player criteria as above then they will be classed in the Professional category in our league as stated above.
3.6 Each Team is allowed to register a Maximum of 3 Professional Players but can only play 2 in any given match.
3.7 If it Transpires that a Team has registered a Player who falls in the category of Professional or Overseas, without declaring to the league then that player/s and the Captain of the Team will be banned for the season, all points accrued in the matches that the player/s have played in will be voided. Final decision will be made by the League.
3.8 There will be NO Professional players taking part in Divisions 2, 3 and 4. If a team plays a Professional player in Divisions 2.3 and 4 then they will be fined £200 and deducted 20 Points for each game they have played in. it is the Teams responsibility to check the status of each player when registering.
3.9 If a complaint is received, then evidence will be required by the League from the person/team who has made the complaint. For the complaint to be registered a payment of £100 must be remitted.
